Laura McGreevy is the owner and operator of Block & Cleaver.  Her family has been supplying the best steaks to fine restaurants and hotels since 1930 when her grandfather Emmett McGreevy, Sr. first opened his steak company in Wichita, Kansas.  Laura would visit the plant as a child and later came to work in the production room.  Laura's appreciation of a fresh, tender premium steak evolved and it was then that she realized the exceptional meat her family provided.

Laura has always served her family's steak at cook outs and dinner parties.  Her guests would rave about the quality of the steaks and wondered why the steaks they purchased never matched the flavor and tenderness.  It was then that Laura decided that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the premium steaks that her family serves.  Laura brought her father and two brothers together and started the online steak company Block & Cleaver.  Laura is proud to be part of her family’s well known tradition of commitment to outstanding quality each and every time.  Now everyone can buy steaks online that the McGreevy family has been serving for over 75 years.

All our beef comes from Midwestern grain fed cattle which produces some of the best steaks in the world.

All steaks are USDA Prime or Choice and are wet aged to perfection to provide the ultimate tenderness and flavor.
